Publication ethics

Article 1 (Title) The name of this academic journal shall be "IGEE Proceedings".

Article 2 (Publisher) The publisher of this academic journal shall be the Institute for Global Engagement and Empowerment at Yonsei University.

Article 3 (Publication Scedule) The journal shall be published three times a year as a general rule. However, the Editorial Committee may decide to increase or decrease the frequency of publication or publish special issues as necessary.

  • - Publication Dates: The journal shall be published on February 28th, June 30th, and October 30th each year.
  • - Manuscript Submission Deadline: The manuscript submission deadline shall be determined by the Editorial Committee, except in special cases.

Article 4 (Indication of Manuscript Submission, Review, and Publication Dates) For papers that have been accepted for publication through the prescribed review process, the dates of manuscript submission, review, and final publication approval shall be indicated for transparency in the review process.

Article 5 (Manuscript Collection, Review, and Acceptance)

Manuscript collection shall be the responsibility of the Editorial Committee of the Institute.
Manuscript review, assessment, and decisions regarding publication shall be the responsibility of the Editorial Committee of the Institute.
Pre-publication tasks and other relevant matters shall be discussed and implemented by the Editorial Committee of the Institute.

Article 6 (Publisher and Editorial Office) The publisher shall be the Director of the Institute, and the editorial office shall be the IGEE Proceedings Editorial Committee of the Institute for Global Engagement and Empowerment at Yonsei University.

Article 7 (Review and Publication Fees) No separate review fees shall be charged upon manuscript submission. Any changes to review and publication fees shall be determined by the operational committee of the Institute.

Article 8 (Submission and Ethical Compliance) Submitted papers must adhere to the submission and ethical regulations of "IGEE Proceedings". The decision on paper publication shall be made by the Editorial Committee through the review process outlined in the "IGEE Proceedings" paper review principles.

Article 9 (Print Run and Supplements) The print run shall be determined flexibly according to the relevant budget. Supplements may be published and provided to authors.

Article 10 (Operation of Research Ethics Committee)

  • 1. (Organization of Research Ethics Committee) A Research Ethics Committee shall be established to deliberate on matters related to research ethics. The Research Ethics Committee shall consist of around five to seven members, including the Editor-in-Chief and editorial board members. The Chair of the Research Ethics Committee shall concurrently hold the position of the Editor-in-Chief.
  • 2. (Operation of Research Ethics Committee)
    • - The Research Ethics Committee shall be convened when deemed necessary by the Chair.
    • - The Research Ethics Committee shall be established with the attendance of a majority of members and decisions shall be made with approval from at least two-thirds of attending members.
    • - A member of the Research Ethics Committee cannot participate in the deliberations if they are the subject of ethical considerations.
    • - The Chair may request the submission or presentation of materials from researchers, research supervisors, or managers for the purpose of deliberation.
    • - Members must observe confidentiality concerning all matters related to the deliberations.
  • 3. (Matters for Research Ethics Committee Deliberation)
    • - Amendments or abolitions of the research ethics regulations of "IGEE Proceedings."
    • - Matters related to research ethics raised regarding papers associated with "IGEE Proceedings."
    • - Allegations related to research integrity in relation with "IGEE Proceedings."
    • - Investigations into research misconduct related to "IGEE Proceedings."
    • - Other matters related to research ethics requested for deliberation by the Chair.
